The strawberry tree it is a shrub that grows between 2 to 5 metres high known as the strawberry tree it should not be confused with buckthorn ! Its white-green bell-shaped flowers bloom from October to December. It only gives its reddish orange fruit the following year at the same time as the new flowers.
Availble on 250 g, 500 g and 1 kg
Color: creamy-white aspect.
Smell: aromas of burnt tannins that are not very strong.
Flavor: surprising taste of intensely bitter arbutin then persistent hints of roasted coffee.
It can be enjoyed directly on a spoon, for those who wish to experience the tastes of Latin America, with goats cheeses or to garnish white meat dishes.
